A WHOPPING 100,000 tickets were issued by Redbridge Council for parking offences in the 12 months to March, newly released figures reveal. That is a 3.3 per cent rise on last year's total of 97,239, compared to a London-wide rise of 2.3 per cent.

Parents were today warned to check nurseries, childminders and after-school clubs after a damning Ofsted report into standards. The education watchdog said childcare in London was much less satisfactory than the rest of the country and claimed children were at risk of harm or neglect.
